And this is the view that continually makes say, “I can’t believe we live here” This time of year is so pretty here. God and the trees put on quite a show. The photo doesn’t even come close to doing it justice…This was on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We’ve taken the bike out for the last two days, yesterday was dang near miserably cold, today was not as cold and not as windy, so it was a much better day!
So I’ve been absent from the blog for a while, sorry. Been busy, been shooting plenty, been on vacation. Used the iphone for most of my vacation pics, only took the DSLR out for one night, to grab the sunset. I had admittedly turned into a camera snob and thought the only good photographs could be taken with a DSLR, so using just the iphone was a huge step for me. But, it turns out, I still have good pics from vacation, most of which will never get printed, but a few good ones that will. No better results than if I’d have used the “real” camera! hahaha! And yeah, that’s how I’ve referred to the DSLR before, “the real camera” Told you I was a camera snob! Now let’s add iphone snob to that too!! hehehe!!!
Okay, so today was kind of a blueish kind of day. Hmmm I am not sure if Blueish is the right word, but uninspired kind of day is probably better to say.
But I have a remedy-This is what I did.
2. Barnes and Noble, bought me some Kate White
3. Wine, thank you Leese & Fitch
4. Whole Foods for some Coconut Cream Pie Yum
I’ll let you know tomorrow if the pie and wine worked its magic!!
So I typed out a whole lot of stuff- then it didn’t save. the bottom line was that i was asking about what size should be submitted to online photo galleries/contests/blogs, etc to prevent or deter from photos being stolen. I submitted this one last night for an online contest on facebook, and when I first saw it online it had 104 likes and 49 shares. I’d say the odds are good for this one to get swiped by someone, even if the intent isn’t malicious- I’d still rather it not be stolen! How can we protect our images from theft?
Went downtown for the lighting ceremony of the famous Bristol Sign. All manual here, baby! AND I’m taking baby steps into editing…I brought the pink color out a smidge here, not really my fault it even needed it, the bulbs actually appear a little more red than pink, but I wanted to remember it like this, as they probably intended it to be. I think this is the first time they’ve ever changed the color of the bulbs- it’s for the entire month of October- a breast cancer awareness thing. AND it was a fund raiser, you could buy bulbs in memory of or in honor of someone who’s had breast cancer. There were a lot of people there tonight, I stayed after most had left so I could get as many shots as possible while they had the street closed and didn’t have to worry about getting killed by passing cars!!
